Hi I'm looking for some advice / clarity as I'm confused by current events.

I was working on an E2 visa I'm the US. My company got bought out and I was fast tracked to an L1b.

This was approved by the USCIS after an RFE.

I flew to London and had my visa appointment, was told I didn't qualify for this visa type. Even though the USCIS had approved it, and "they had final say", they had to investigate.

Timeline since then as follows:

7th Nov.  Interview

7th Nov Request for the USCIS submission

16th Nov  attorney sends email

17th Nov. Receive request for passports for visa processing

18th Nov. Take passports to DX Delivery, Chancery Lane

21st Nov. Passports delivered to embassy, according to DX Delivery tracking

29th Nov. CEAC case status changes to approved

5th Dec. CEAC case status changed to Administrative Processing. (If visa was previously approved it will be available within 2 business days)

6th Dec. CEAC case status changed to Application Received......

Can anyone tell me what's going on here and if this would indicate an issue?

Many thanks.

No decision has been made, and your case is in administrative processing.  Normal course of events, and no way to tell just from that if there is an issue.
