Confusing notifications about my N-400 case

Hello.

just got two e-mail notifications about my case status. One says that my interview has been scheduled and the other says ‘initial review’. I assume that ‘initial review’ is reviewing my background check because I didn’t submit my finger prints with my N-400 application.

Has anyone had this notifications or knows what this means exactly?

Plus, I’ve tried to log on to USCIS website and it seems having trouble to open the page.

USCIS has some of the worst IT systems and thus it is too soon to be concerned.  Do check this daily. If after a week you have not received a written or electronic notice, call USCIS, say info pass, and request a tier 2 officer call you regarding your case.

System glitch. You don't send fingerprints .. they either reuse ones on file or send you for a biometrics appt.. if it is at the interview stage you will get the letter in a week or so .. if its still at review then waiting is your friend again

Thank you! I’ll try to log in or call again tomorrow. And actually one of my friends had to do fingerprints again right after her interview.

I’ll keep it posted !

I got to login to website this morning and it shows that they are reviewing my case and scheduled for interview as well.

I would click Document tab to see if there is any letter of scheduled interview there. If Yes, just go to the interview on the date mentioned in the letter. Good luck!!!

I didn’t think of that! Just checked the document menu and got the interview date! Thank you so much!
