I was really hopeful when I got the letter stating that my case has been reopened again as there was enough evidence to do so.  Then about a week later is denied.

You can get new forms ready, but do wait until you have the decision in hand.

Just an update, I still haven't had a new denial as of yet and it's not on my USCIS account either.  Perhaps they just uphold the original denial but I would have thought they should explain why I was denied again, why my new evidence was unsuccessful?

You applied for 2 things. Maybe the second is still waiting consideration. I have read on lawyer pages that getting the USCIS to admit a mistake with a motion to reconsider is rare. Perhaps the motion to re-open is still pending.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that my case on USCIS has been changed to denied on January 7th and to case closed.  However, I haven't had any documentation about the second denial.  I just wondered if they will send me a confirmation letter or maybe they don't bother.

I would recommend you stop watching the “status” and await a decision on the I-290 B.
There was and will be only ONE Denial of the I-485 , The one you got.
Next step will be to get a notice of the I-290 B.
The workings of that is that it first goes to Field Office Director who can choose to re-open or certify /stand by her denial and forwards it to AAO .. and as I said , that does take a bit of time.
They can then either dismiss the I-290 B or send it back to Field Office to be re opened.

I think perhaps you jumped the gun a bit..but you can try calling and ask specific questions related to the pending I-290 B,

Google USCIS AAO non precedent decisions and have fun reading..

I did actually get a decision on the I-290B, this was before the status on my account changed to denied and closed.

I assume that means that a decision has been made?  I won't get any letter giving me an explanation?

😂! This says your motion was GRANTED so your I-485 is/will be re opened ….that is the new decision referenced.

Just call and try to get through a tier 2 officer ..say you are worried of missing deadlines and the online system is giving you nightmares ..( or fill in blanks) and ask if there was any action on your case that indicates a denial decision is in the mail…at least you will stop worrying

Thanks for that.  That's why I was so hopeful, the fact that it had been granted.  I am assuming it went back to the same officer in San Bernardino who had a quick look, couldn't miss the chance to get the denial statistics up and then denied it again.  Makes me sick that I could get everything right with finances, documentation and be denied on something ridiculous.

I assume that they will have to send me a letter stating why I was denied again?

Not sure where I was unclear…but you won . They will just continue working on your case and you will either get an interview or interview waived decision.

The decision came directly from the Field Office ( they reversed themselves or as quoted withdrew the denial) so case won’t even go to AAO .

Any decision you are theorizing on such as a second denial would of course require notice

Even although they closed my case on USCIS and changed to denied on the 7th of January?
