Dec 11, I got an email stating they have taken action on our case. I went ahead to check the USCIS account, no status changes or messages for either application. It could be an error.

Did you file online? If yes, you can check the Documents tab in case they uploaded something.

Or did the message change to they are Actively Reviewing the case?

Hi!

Yes, I filed online. I just doublechecked the account, no message changes. I am puzzled. The evidence tab has the documents I provided, allocated by category.

Ok. I filed an I-130 for my mom last year. 2 weeks ago my Actively Reviewing date changed from March 4, 2022 to November 28, 2022 - when I looked at the Documents tab, at the top section where USCIS had sent me communications (letters), the approval notice was already there. That seems to be the benchmark for determining approvals.

If there is no letter then all I can think of is that your file just got "touched." Meaning someone just reviewed it but did nothing else.

Do you have any concurrent filings? If you do then they may have acted on those.

Congratulations on approval!

I agree with you, probably they just "touched" one or both cases, which is already something.

And, no, I do not have any other applications, just two I-130 for both parents.

Thank you for sharing your ideas and experience!

Hello.

Nope, no updates. Both statuses say Case received.  No updates. Oh, and our office for both applications is in Potomac.
