I got the 48 months letter somewhere in February and randomly I’m expecting a letter from USCIS today according to USPS informed delivery. Online status hasn’t been updated from ‘case was received’. Anyone has any idea what the letter is for?

If you did not get a letter before regarding biometrics, then it could be that.  Keep us posted.

Like the posts before me, the same literal letter about the 48 months extension was sent to me today. My received date is 02/03, first notice date is 02/07. The one from today is 03/15. Now I got two 48 months letters!😬

nothing regarding biometrics!

LOL

I just love how their system is sending duplicate letters for people that just got the 48 within the last month.  Yet, there are a tone of people whose previous letter is expiring and are getting nothing.

Ahhh, yes.  Ironic processing.

Update.

We also received a 48 month extension today.

This is after the initial 24 month extension  we received January 14.

Biometrics were done Feb 6.

At this rate I guess around mid May we should expect to get a 96 month extension 😉

So I initially received the 36 month extension for my wife mid-end of January and today, I received another NOA this time for 48 months. Looks like they really are sending out 48 month notices for everyone even if you got a shorter extension before.

I came here to say the same thing. I got mine today also for 48 months.

I also got a duplicate 48 month extension letter (application received 02/07), but I guess it will come in handy if I ever lose the first one?!? 😅

I have a 36 months one from the application, nice to see even recent filers getting 48 months extensions too. Hope it comes for me soon but not too concerned about it.
