Yes, engagement pictures can become a problem if the CO interprets them as a marriage/religious ceremony. They only need a suspicion 

 

Odd choice to go for a K1 for Pakistan

One of my family members did same and she has submitted ceremony photos as well and one of my friend did same but that was back in 2014-2015. Now I see people saying no need of ceremony pictures and might become problem. I see people saying this for India specially.  That is why I wanted to ask here if someone has done same for pakistan.

It depends on a consular officer. Each makes different decisions 

 

There are numerous threads on K1 denials for Islamabad, hence why I said it’s an odd choice to go for a K1

The above was a second denial after photos of engagement party.

 

These two were because there too many photos of the couple together which the CO felt was against the norms of Pakistani society, and thus the CO suspected the couple was married:

 

 

Cancel I-129F, get married, and file I-130.
