I move to Indiana today. If any of you pray, please pray. I did everything legally but that doesn't mean they have to let me over. I'd hate to fail now.

Thanks for the help I've received on here. I will post more when it's time to adjust status.

I HATE miles, gallons, pints, words spelled without u's, and all that other jazz...

02/25 Received Welcome letter in mail

02/28 Green card arrived in mail. Done with USCIS for now

01/12/10 Sent I-751 to California Service Center; arrived on 1/14/2010

02/09 Biometrics appointment in Michigan City, Indiana

02/10 Case updated

02/23 Received NOA

03/08 Card production ordered

03/10 ROC approval letter arrives

03/15 Ten year Green card arrives

02/17/12 Mailed citizenship application

You'll do fine Joe...really. You have done everything right and proper. With proper documentation there's no reason that I can see for you to be turned away at the POE. I bet you'll be back on here in no time telling us all it was easier than you thought. ;)

Thank you everyone. :) It went very well. I didn't even need to show any paper work for my stuff. I think they had the dogs sniff it while we were in the building. The officer was very polite and it was a breeze.

I am living near South Bend.

Now begins the adjusting life as well as adjusting status process. I've visited here many times but right now I'm not liking it like I used to. :( It will change though, I'm sure. thanks again everyone.

See, it wasn't so bad! :) Congrats on getting through and home to Indiana safe and sound.

From my humble experience, it will take you a while to totally settle in and feel part of the community you're now living in, don't feel guilty about feeling weird about it, it's natural. :) Good luck to you as you move forward and progress along the AOS path. :)

Thanks Cassie. No it wasn't so bad. I am kind of homesick now though. :( But you're right. Hey just yesterday an older gentleman said "good morning" to me as I was walking down the street. I'm not used to that. haha I asked him where the Dollar General was cuz I couldn't find it and he said it's by the post office about a half mile down the road. I felt so dumb cuz I didn't know where the post office was and I don't know how to guage a half mile. lol

Welcome to Indiana!

Hubby (the USC) and I live in Indianapolis. Hope you grow to love the people and the state the way I have in the past 2 years (well, minus the property tax hike, lol).

Thanks Ephesia. I hope so too. LOL I don't think I want to know what the property tax hike is. Maybe we can meet up some time. I hope to get to a Colts game this year or next year.
