Do K3 visas always have to be processed where the marriage took place?

If we are married in Canada, but he is a UK citizen residing in the UK, it doesn't seem right to have to apply through Canada.

Or is my information incorrect?

Thats the way that it works. It would be Vancouver or Montreal for a K3. Stupid huh??

You may decide to forget about the K3 and file just the I-130, in which case he would be interviewed in London.

I finally got rid of the never ending money drain. I called the plumber, and got the problem fixed. I wish her the best.

Thanks for the response.

Yea, that is crazy. But as far as he is concerned, would he simply need to fly to Montreal or Vancouver to be interviewed (and possibly have the medical exam)?

Would it impact him or the visa application any other way?

no other impact. Just make he shows up with all the forms and documents that are required.

You might want to double check this. The Canadian Consulates are funny about confirming that the beneficiary has a minimum of 6 months forward stay in Canada before they will accept the case. I've seen this for K-1 and IV applications, but am not sure what they would do about a K-3.
