Update on our case!

Received the passport back today, December 5th. Interview was on November 8th...

Congrats! Did they explain why it took so long? I actually wouldn't mind to spend some extra time in Israel, it's warm there unlike in Warsaw. And importantly there are direct flights to Tel-Aviv from Russia. Compare that to booking 3 separate flights to get to Warsaw: you have to exit the terminal, go through the passport control, get your checked-in luggage and recheck-in it again, twice. All that while pretending to be just a tourist going to see the beautiful city of Budapest, hehe. Traveling in such manner with little kids going to be exhausting as hell.

Well...we were planning to spent 2 weeks in Israel as tourists too! But it's really exhausting to live in ambiguity without ANY information. You just don't know how much "extra time" you will have to wait. Days, weeks, months? Not to mention that Tel Aviv is one of the most expensive cities worldwide. We wouldn't mind if they told us right away that it would take 1 month, so we could make appropriate plans. But they told us it would take a couple of days..And no, no one explained why it took so long. It was also very upsetting to see other people getting their passports back within days while we were waiting for weeks.

That's crazy! You and I were messaging a while back about doing the interview in Jerusalem, I assume that other people in the telegram group were getting approval through faster than this? That would have been frustrating to watch.

Save enough money for this trip! When I say Israel is expensive, I really mean it. And I am myself from California. 😉

The most underrated and the worthiest advice. Picking up one's SO from the interview will count as the honeymoon. :)

AirBnB prices seem to be about the same as in Warsaw, $200-250/night for a 2-3bd. Maybe just a bit higher on average than in Warsaw. Do they conduct interviews in Jerusalem only or also in the Tel-Aviv branch?

so, wondering about the medical exam, can we do it in Moscow or will it have to be done in Almaty?

Probably best to ask the consulate. I don't know of many users here who have done a transfer to Kazakhstan... @FJinSD I think did it in Almaty.

Hi guys! Finally got a positive reply from Jerusalem! They sent me an email asking to confirm the transfer and I replied back with confirmation. I wonder what's the next step I have to take? Our case is already passed NVC stage and interview has been scheduled for it in Warsaw. Also, could someone DM me the Telegram group handle for Jerusalem-specific chat?

Great news!  Fingers remaining crossed for you.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
