What’s the fastest way to bring a 30 year old son to USA?

Good day, please help me answer my questions, thank you.

 My son is 30 years old Philippines citizen and i am a green card holder in USA. I am planning to submit a petition for him. He just start working in South Korea with a working visa. Is it going to be faster if he is in Korea right now or is it going to be the same? Can he do the interview in Korea or he needs to go back to the Philippines when he needs to be interviewed?

If he is married it doesn’t matter; he has no path to immigrate though you.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/legal/visa-law0/visa-bulletin/2023/visa-bulletin-for-december-2022.html says visa numbers for his category, F2B are available to those who filed October 22, 2011 or earlier. So likely at least an 11 year wait. 
 

He will interview wherever he has lawful residency when his visa number is available for assignment to a consulate. 
 

No need for him to move to a different country since different processing times at different consulates are not the high order issue.

Use where he is currently resident.

How long is he expected to work in Korea? If it is less than a year and he doesn't anticipate that his contract will be extended, then it is safe to put his Philippine address.

 

Either way, he needs to have a reliable address where he can receive his copy of the letters from USCIS.

N-400 Timeline

02-23-2018: Sent N-400 Application online

02-23-2018: Date on NOA, retrieved from online account

02-23-2018: Date on Biometrics Appointment Letter (Biometrics Appointment at Jacksonville ASC on March 13, 10:00 a.m.)

03-08-2018: Biometrics complete

04-05-2018: Case status updated - Interview Scheduled on May 10, 2018, 10:15 a.m. :D

05-10-2018: Citizenship Interview - Passed English and Civics Tests, Recommended for Approval! :D 

06-19-2018: Received email and text notification: Naturalization Ceremony Scheduled; waited for letter to be uploaded on online account - it has been set on Wednesday, July 25, 3:00 p.m.

07-25-2018: I am now a U.S. Citizen!

No.  Approval of the petition will be relatively fast.  The long, long delay is waiting for a visa number to become available.  People who were petitioned 11 years ago are just now obtaining available visa numbers.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..
