Interview canceled

Hi y’all.  

My citizenship interview has been canceled 1 week before the scheduled date . I’m in the army and already got my leave approved , tickets bought for me to fly to do this interview and now it’s been canceled. I want to show up anyways to do the interview . I can’t easily get another leave to handle this issue because of the military . Anybody knows why they canceled the interview

Weather, Covid, staffing shortage, your file is still in the national archives, your file is still with national benefits center, the furnace at the office failed, etc.  IOW most likely nothing to do with the merits of your case.  
 

And yeah in your situation, I would show up too.

I read that @Truth_Seeker who I think is a contractor for US government and was flying in from Europe had his interview cancelled but he was able to make the original interview date restored.  Not quite like your case but perhaps he can guide you on what he did...

So, I found the 800 number useless.  Prior to my interview being scheduled we were contacted via email a person that is dedicated for N400 case for the military.  And he asked us when we would be available for interview.  When the interview was cancelled we eventually ended up contacting him, and he restored the original date and time. So, if you had someone email you asking you when you would be in the states, I would try to get ahold of them.
