Biometrics appointment after getting waiver for biometrics

Hi guys!

One week after our I-717 has been received and assigned to YSC, we received the waiver for the biometrics for my daughter on October 19 (still waiting to get news for mine). And then, last Tuesday, we received another notice, with her biometrics appointment letter for next Tuesday... does it make sense, no I don't think so... First waiver, and now appointment notification one week before the date... lucky us that we're in town!

Did it already happen to one of you? And if that's the case, did you bring the 2 notices to the appointment?

Thank you!

Hi @He and I what's I-717?

You received I-797 for I-751 asking to do the biometrics? How did you know the biometrics were waived previously? Online status?

My mistake... we received our I-797 and not I-717...

We received one notice one week after receiving our NOA, letting my daughter know that they would reuse the biometrics, so they won't schedule an appointment for it. And then, last Tuesday, we got a second notice, asking for her to show up next Tuesday for her biometrics appointment.

Online status has never been updated, since they acknowledged they received our application.

She should show up to the appointment. Looks like the first notice was sent in error.

And she will! I am just trying to figure if it's already happen to someone else.

No matter what, she'll go and bring the 2 notices to the USCIS.
