Hello! My 16 y/o son entered the US on a IR2 visa. Can I apply him for a US passport now? If so, how do I do that? TIA ♥️

1. Are you a U.S. citizen?

2. Does he live with you?

3. Do you have legal custody of him?

4. Do you have proof of the above?

5. Do you have his original birth certificate?

6. Does his other parent consent to him getting a U.S. passport?

If so, yes you can apply for passport for him. Make an appointment at a  post office that handles passport applications.

If your son is not a US citizen, the no. Only US citizens can have a US passport.

Only need one parent's consent at 16 years
