I sent in my second RFE Response (the first package was sent to the wrong address - by me) and it was signed for on July 13. I checked my status online daily - nothing. Last night, I received an email from CSC advising that the RFE Response was received on July 19.

NOTE: If submitting an RFE Response to CSC, factor in an extra week just to be on the safe side. Don't leave yourself submitting the response the last few days before your deadline(!).

In the notice, CSC advised that it will respond by mail within sixty day. ACK! That means, the NOA2 may not be forwarded to NVC until September 19th. I swear, I'll be six feet under before the paperwork arrives in Turkey. :dead:

Please let MS know that I loved him a lot ... and died while waiting for the visa. Tell him that the refrig is stocked with food and that there's money in the bank. The cat needs to be fed and don't forget the mail. :secret:

LOL...You made me laugh. Seriously though, you know how the USCIS gives standard cover-their-azz dates. I'm sure it will not take any time at all. As soon as the adjudicator gets your evidence on his desk, which I'm sure is happening right now, he will probably give you his stamp of approval and put you in the black hole stack of petitions waiting to be sent to NVC. Keep your head up. I know you've been waiting forever, but your approval is coming. Good luck!

It says within 60 days? It could be sooner, just keep remembering that :).

Out of curiousity, what email address do the USCIS send mail from? We applied for email updates but haven't got a thing back yet. We have spam filter running and a lot of important emails get caught in there (the spam filter is a godsend most of the time, and a pain in the butt the rest but we need it). If you can let us know "who" it is sent from, ie email add, we can put them on our accept list to make sure it doesn't get deleted by accident. It's hard to go through over 1000 emails a day to check when you don't know the addy it's coming from!

Also, how long do you have between the date the RFE is sent to you and the date to send it back. As most know by now, we're not in the states so all our correspondence from the USCIS gets sent to my fiance's parents in Texas. They then have to send it to us (that takes about 2 weeks) and we have to send it back (another 2 weeks..grr). Is a month enough time? I'm not 100% sure we will get one yet, but just incase :)

Good luck you guys! You'll get it and keep that cat well fed!

Emails will come from ''CRIS'' Just make sure you check your junk folder everytime you check your email. I use SPAM filters too, but my CRIS email went to my inbox. I don't know anything about RFE's so I'll let the OP or someone else who has experience with that help you. Good luck!

Ahh, thanks! That helps a lot. I'll go and check through our spam filter file now and see if I can find anything in there from CRIS. Either way, if I can find one or not, I'll set it as a safe address.

Our spam filter seems to have a mind of its own sometimes. We get a lot of important emails from clients go through into it and a lot of stupid Viagra spam coming into our actual mailbox.

Thanks again!

USCIS-CRIS@dhs.gov This is the actual address it comes from. But it wil say CRIS in your inbox. Does that make sense. I know what I want to say, but don't know how. Maybe I should go to bed?

The RFE notice was mailed May 8. We had until July 31 to respond. But it took a week between the time the package was received at the PO Box and the time the documents were officially acknowledged received by CSC.

You'll have a couple of months to reply. Since you're in Ireland, though, I would spend the money to make sure the documents are delivered well in advance of the deadline.

Good luck you guys! You'll get it and keep that cat well fed!

Thanks! And good luck to you, too!
