Embassy demanding Covid boosters (3rd dose) at medical?

Hello,

Does anybody know what the actual recquirements for the covid vaccine are from CDC?

I thought until now that I have to be "fully vaccinated" (= 2 doses of a 2 dose vaccine), in order to pass the medical for my visa interview (CR1 immigrant visa).

Somebody just told me however, that she had to take the vaccine booster in August, since they told her her 2nd dose was older than 6 months and therefore she was not "fully vaccinated" anymore. She also needed to get her tetanus shot after 15 years, so she ended up having 2 vaccines in the same week (and got pretty sick) and as I am due to my tetanus shot as well, I would like to avoid that scenario...

That being said the old medical place for the Prague embassy was quite sketchy (horrendous reviews, rude staff, bad practice overall...) and they have changed it since to a new location (slightly less sketchy).

Is it possible that the old place was just demanding that for no reason, or is there a 6 month rule somewhere that I am not aware of?

Thank you

I’m going to refer you to this link. Has the most up to date requirements for medical exams for COVID-19

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/covid-19-technical-instructions.html

ALL of these offices where they do these medical exams have horrible reviews about rude staff. However, they are accredited by the US Embassy, so there really is no way to work around it. It’s at the panel physicians discretion if you need said vaccinations.

Thank you for the link. Says nothing about COVID vaccine boosters here.

How is it at their discretion when the CDC says covid vaccination is not required for medical examination:

*Refugees and NIVs, including K-visa applicants are not required to receive the COVID-19 vaccine as part of the immigration medical examination

Vaccination Documentation for Nonimmigrants

The vaccination history of all applicants submitting for an examination by a US panel physician should be reviewed and vaccinations they have previously received should be documented on the DS-3025 Form, even if they are nonimmigrants who are not required to meet vaccination requirements prior to travel to the United States.

Although refugees and K visa applicants are not required to receive vaccines before traveling to the United States, they must meet the vaccination requirements when applying for adjustment of status or permanent resident status in the United States. Therefore, for these applicants, panel physicians must complete a DS-3025 Form if the applicant provides reliable vaccination records. A copy of this form must be provided to the applicant for use as his or her vaccination record in the United States.

Nope, fully vaccinated is fully vaccinated. There's no requirement to be up to date (CDC speak of get all the boosters we highly recommend yet that no one is taking and they're now wasted as folks have wisened up and no longer fall for what we're telling them). Tetanus one is every 10 years - mind you, if you can get tetanus only do that vs 3-in-1 combo. If you get it before your medical exam make sure you have a receipt/paperwork from your doctor.

Hello,

I contacted the new medical center and they confirmed that 2 doses of a 2-dose vaccine are sufficient. I still have to get tetanu and flu shot though. It was a matter of the previous doctor being an id*ot, demanding things he had no right to. Nevermind they charge insane amounts for the medical in Czech epublic (used to be almost 800USD, now its about 650 at the new place)

I was referring to any other vaccines outside of COVID-19 vaccines. I was not referring to COVID vaccines as I had already sent OP the link to CDC relating to that topic. Sorry thought that was pretty clear as OP seemed to understood what I said.
