221g London Embassy Police Check

Hi all,

My husband’s interview for his CR1 visa was on Tuesday the 15th of Nov at the London Embassy. He was temporarily refused due to the fact that we accidentally brought a copy of his Police check instead of the original. They kept his passport and he was issued a 221g. We submitted the original copy to the Courier today (17th of November).

Anyone else been through a similar experience with mailing in a simple document like this? If so, what did the timeline look like for you? I understand it looks different for everyone, but would love to hear about others’ experiences.

thank you.

Hi Alexa,

I'm in a very similar situation. Has your visa been issued yet? If so how long did it take after submitting the original?

Cheers,

Jerome

If AlexaL kept a timeline, you could see when the visa arrived. You should fill in your timeline and country and embassy as well to help others..

Isn't this supposed to be submitted to the London Embassy by the people who do the medical?

The medical clinic does not sent the police certificate to the embassy.

Ah, I wasn't sure.

They asked me for it and made a scan, I guess they must have gave it back to me - I couldn't remember if they did that or sent it to the embassy.

The clinic wants to see it to check for any drug or alcohol charges, which would be evaluated as part of the mental health/addictions component of their report. They would return the original so it could be taken to the interview.
