Update to the above -

Apparently USCIS Transferred my case to POTOMAC on Oct 12th, but failed to notify me of the transfer 😒. I found out via Ask Emma when inquiring on why I didn't see changes to my account following an email received about changes on Oct 12th......Fun times🙄

The funny thing is my case was also transferred to Potomac and I only found that out through Emma. You and I are on the same boat.

Also, I think they no longer send notification of any case transfer to another service center.

Why does that not surprise me, lol. "Let's make our systems more efficient, but not our communication...."

I'm toying with the idea of trying and filing a K-3 petition to "speed" things up, but it would be our luck that it gets approved (which is not ideal in our case lol).

Hello everyone, as an October 2021 filler I will share with you guys my experience.

We started in Potomac.  Then we got transferred to  California Center which is was the worse at the time (it was taking 24,5 months /  2021).  I wouldn’t be surprised if you guys get  transferred out without any warnings, I think its their way to share the workload between the centers.  I am seeing a lot of people being moved so I woldn't worry too much.  I started checking my account all the time and it was a huge waste of time and drove me crazy.  I was calling USCIS all the time .   It is much easier knowing you just have to wait and  focus on work or something. Our I-130 was approved in 13 months (California) we just finished NVC part,  we are waiting for the interview letter.  I know it feels like it will never happen, but it does.  Patient is a virtue.  Unfortunately I am not exactly a patient man. If you guys have any questions about the process just let me know.

Congrats!! For most of the research that I've seen, a lot of people that filed in early October were sent to Texas and then transferred to Potomac.

I file an expedite request in the end of February and they just got back to me a few days ago with this reply... Which is basically telling me absolutely nothing lol... Fairly sure I'll be waiting the full 12 to 14 months...

Thanks! To be honest, we weren't expecting to be approved this quick. Regarding the reply you received, I personally think USCIS is telling you (with out telling you .. lol) your case is being actively reviewed. If that is the case, you could get your approval soon.

Thank you! To be honest, we weren't expecting to be approved this quick. I am suspecting filing K-3 might have helped us. I hope you get approved soon.

I actually think they are blowing smoke, because it's been in AR1 status for 6 months lol. But I pray that you are right, and that an approval comes thru soon. Keep us posted on your next journey if you can! Super excited for you!
