1. I want to apply for my b1/b2 visa for the first time to accompany my (USC) grandmother home. She has a neurological condition and can't travel alone - Other return arrangements fell through.  Has doctor's appointment in January 2023  (I know its not top level emergency..but it is life, welfare and safety) (please don't judge -there's a lot more to this)

2. I am also currently going through a divorce to a USC (m. 2018) which may be finalized before interview date.

3. I had a Conditional gc which expired 2 years ago. I only stayed in the US approx 1 yr.  I left willingly in 2019, never went back since returning home. (Caribbean)

4. I have no pending petitions.

Questions:

Might number 1 be enough grounds for an expedite?

What can I show to prove divorce is in the works if I don't get final decree in time?

Are chances slim? Will the marriage/divorce situation and previously having a gc hinder me?

(Would it not be wise to apply for a minor who wont be accompanying on this trip?  Since covid, appointment wait times are RIDICULOUS, even mail in takes MONTHS, so im just wondering if I can kill 2 birds with one stone if expedite is denied)

I would only be able to travel for about 10 days max as number 1 is my main reason and I didn't plan to travel in such short notice and I have work, she has school, I have a pending court matter (NOTHING CRIMINAL) etc...

Any advice? Suggestions?

Did you formally file to relinquish the green card? There are a lot of ingredients in this soup.

Just another random guy from the internet with an opinion, although usually backed by data!
