“The United States produced more crude oil than any nation at any time, according to our International Energy Statistics, for the past six years in a row.”

yet an increase in production would stave off the high prices we have now.  when's the last time you saw gas under $2.75 a gallon?

The only party actually flouting democratic norms currently is the Democrat party. Not only have the party elite handpicked a candidate in spite of their primary voters, they have members (Rep. Jamie Raskin) who have openly said that they intend not to certify a Trump win by using the 14th Amendment.

And then there is the admission that the DNC knew of Joe Biden’s mental and physical decline before the November 2020 election and actively using mis-and disinformation to cover for him.

Again, have you seen popular discontent among democrats with Harris as our nominee? Your only concern is that we have a candidate now that has a better chance at beating Trump.

Raskin was working on legislation to enforce the 14th amendment. The Supreme Court ruled that this is the mechanism for enforcing the disqualification of a candidate through the 14th amendment. This legislation won’t pass.

I’d be against using the 14th amendment at this point, just like I’d hope you’d be against Trump trying to repeat trying to subvert the election after losing.

When we were in the middle of an economic catastrophe where most people weren’t driving to work or traveling.

I haven’t read anything about the DNC being aware of Biden’s decline. That would indeed be troubling. Can you send a link?

I think in hindsight it obviously would have been better if Biden had stepped aside earlier and we could have had a competitive primary.

So the DNC were not aware and everyone else was?

We will never know if the withdrawal from Afghanistan would have gone better under Trump because he didn’t do it. So we will have to agree to disagree.

Trump had an agreement.  He would have removed the American civilians and American equipment before removing military forces.

When Trump is the other option, I would definitely put myself in that category.

Based on exactly which Trump policies? Or do you vote personality over the economy, taxes, and the border?  Which of these offend you?

Lower taxes?

Lower inflation?

Secure border?

Increased oil production?

Under Harris, your taxes WILL increase.

Under Harris, inflation will continue due to the Biden/Harris war on fossil fuels.

Under Harris, the border will remain open....and the taxpayer costs will skyrocket.

Under Harris, oil production will be limited.

I guess he also misspoke claiming to be a retired E-9 when he wasn't.  He is actually a retired E-8 like me.

There has been a lot of misspeaking.

Lower taxes

Lower inflation

Lower illegal immigration

Increased oil production

I think we have already been through this, but I think that just Trump’s conduct on January 6th should be disqualifying. I thought his reaction to Charolettesville was inappropriate. Thought the attempted Muslim ban was completely counter to the values of our country. I thought his coddling and bromance with Putin was troubling. I think his reference to “ hole” countries was offense. I thought him referring to immigrants as “poisoning the blood” of our country was concerning, because either he had no idea he was quoting Hitler or even more concerning he was doing that intentionally, either way, it’s racist.

I thought the economy under Trump was pretty good…until Covid. Covid was obviously not his fault, but he ended up politicizing masks and vaccines, which I think was terrible.

I thought his tax cuts were a hand out to the wealthy and unnecessary.

Inflation is a byproduct of Covid. I think that Biden prioritized employment over inflation and I think that was the right call. Running the economy hot kept people employed and spread the pain among everyone. More unemployment would have lead to a recession and I think more economic pain than we experienced.

More oil is being produced now in the US than any other time in history.

There was a bipartisan deal on immigration that was negotiated by Lankford that Trump decided to tell republicans to vote against. Trump’s focus on a wall is asinine in my opinion and not the key to a secure border. Separating children from their families was intentionally cruel and a stain on our country.

I’m confused. None of these things happened? You’re digging your head in the sand if you believe that.

Rachael Maddow and Joy Reid lie....a lot.  People should do their own research before taking their word for anything.
