Wow, I thought Old Corrupt Joe would get a reprieve of at least a week before the pressure intensified again.  I heard even Mika's husband is climbing aboard the Joe get out train.

I don't think they can bypass Harris as POTUS candidate.  However, the possibilities for her VP are wide open.  I would bet against Whitmer. Maybe they choose Shapiro.  They need Pennsylvania.

That might be the case in this instance as she has control of a lot of money if Biden backs out.  However, this doesn't really work unless Joe resigns from the office and allows Kamala to become President (God help us all).  Although I can see the petulant Democrats thinking they can create some excitement even with Kamala (despite the fact that it was the racist Democrats that rejected her in 2019/2020) to help the down-ballot even if she ultimately loses.  One thought is let Old Corrupt Joe continue and let him lose, and let the primary in 2028 reject Kamala.  Of course the problem with that is the Democrats might lose the Senate, and lose more seats in the House.  In the end, it could be a Democrat civil war (and some call the Republicans petulant).

Could play out.  Then, 100% of the blame is on Biden and Jill, leaving the party to say "I told you, so, Joe".  It is also possible that no other dem candidate wants to face Trump, the American Lion this year.  Who wants to enter the 2028 race as damaged goods? But I see this as extremely risky, too, for the down ballot . Right now, the polls I follow show the dems losing everything in November.  For the sake of the down ballot candidates, the dems need to convince Joe to step aside....even if the top of the ballot is a loser.

Biden could attempt to take some glitter away from Trump tonight......but I doubt it will happen soon.  I hear that the Biden team is making calls to the dem delegates asking them to ride with Joe.  The dem civil war is making me binge on popcorn.
