I can't believe they are considering the Kackling one.

it was foretold in the Lion King - depose the real king, an evil lion assumes the throne, and the sidekicks of the evil lion are cacklers.

Back when Kackling was running, and she called Old Corrupt Joe a racist on the debate stage, she was touted the next day by the MSM, via their distributed talking points, as the rising star of the Democrat Party.  Of course we know what happened, the racist in the Democrat electorate did not like her and she dropped out before the first 2020 contest.  Then Clyburn forced her on Old Corrupt Joe as the world's worst DEI hire.  She epitomizes "Didn't Earn It".

I can not find it now but CNN had a piece railing about Kami being called a DEI hire, I remember at the time it was clearly stated that the VP was a DEI position, do they think we do not remember?

The racists had little to do with Kamala dropping out.

Getting eviscerated on the debate stage by Tulsi Gabbard did that.

This is how progressive tax brackets work.  Those that pay the most taxes will get the biggest breaks when taxes are cut.  How do you propose that is changed?  Even if you propose a tax cut for only the 3 or 4 lowest tax quintiles, the rich folks will still get a break as their income is not taxed in its entirety at the highest rate.  Then of course there are corporate taxes which Democrats love to tout, and which do nothing other than to raise prices and discourage business development.  Corporate taxes are like tariffs, raise them and prices go up.

It seems you are more in the camp that all money belongs to the government, and that the government can take from the rich and give to the poor (please correct me if I am wrong).  If that is the case, this never works as the money will still flow to the successful eventually.

I am interested in an in dept look at a flat tax system where almost everyone has "skin in the game", and almost everyone (from top to bottom) pays the same tax rate.  That could eliminate manipulation of the tax code, and it could greatly simplify tax reporting.  Thoughts?

it would probably ignite a civil war as so many don't pay income tax as it is.

Remember, “fair share” when it comes to taxation only applies to the wealthy (basically anyone who pays over the lowest tax bracket).

How is it “fair” to demand anyone who doesn’t currently pay income tax to actually contribute to the system from which they benefit so much?

I agree, I vote policy over personality in general.  I have voted Democrat and 3rd Party in the past, but recently, I tend to vote Republican as even though the GOP members in DC are only slightly worse than the Democrats, the Democrat policies regarding runaway spending, the nanny state growth (socialism), and particularly identity politics have turned me off.  I still remember the Thatcher quote "The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples' money".

Turned on the TV and this in particular is CNN, but seems common, the Woke turning on the Woke, power is all they care about.

They interviewed Pelosi who said it was up to Old Joe to decide if he was going to run, well he said he was going to run.... Why would you say that if it was not in doubt.

Based on the strong language Joe has been using, I don't think there is any chance, right now, he will willingly step aside.  I think the 25th is only way to get him out of the way.  But doing that will short circuit this elitist, anti-democratic plan to hold a beauty pageant to anoint a replacement.  Enacting the 25th gives Kamala the keys and the leverage.  With the right VP pick, she might swing a couple of endangered blue states back in her column, but I think her dismal record on the border, her having to defend the Biden/Harris economic policies, and complicity in the Biden cover-up will still spell disaster in November for the dems.

At this point, the dems SHOULD be worried primarily about the down-ticket candidates.

So the NYTimes is now calling Biden the liar and actually telling the truth about Trump.  Is the sky falling, or are they just following the anti-Biden Democrat camp?  Maybe there will be a Wilson Project PAC formed soon.

The Times Turns on a Dime

But it is Biden’s invocation of a classic anti-Trump meme that incurs the most surreal of all Times responses. Biden had said during the Stephanopoulos interview: “This is a guy who told us to put bleach in our arms to deal with Covid, with a million—over a million people died.”

The Times is withering. Exaggerated! it proclaims. Trump did not “instruct people to inject bleach but suggested that doing so with a disinfectant was an ‘interesting’ concept to test out.” The Times notes the context for Trump’s alleged bleach-injection instruction: in April 2020, a member of the federal coronavirus task force had reported on ongoing experiments regarding the use of light and disinfectants to kill the virus. Trump then speculated, as the paper reports:

Mr. Trump responded: “And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning? Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that.”

The Times’s current distinction between suggesting that a concept be tested and suggesting that a concept be implemented was missing in its contemporaneous coverage in 2020. The paper ran thousands of words implying that Trump had likely triggered a public health emergency of MAGA bleach drinkers. Reporter Matt Flegenheimer, then on the Covid hysteria beat, reported that Trump had “suggested that injections of disinfectants into the human body could help combat the coronavirus.” Such a suggestion “did not sound like the work of a doctor, a genius, or a person with a good you-know-what,” sneered Flegenheimer, throwing a loose version of Trump’s comments about himself back at him.

The closer we get to Kamala Harris getting the keys to the White House, the more I wish DJT would bring Tulsi Gabbard onto his team to remind people exactly why she got less than 1% support in the 2020 Democrat Primary race before she withdrew.

it was evident from the start that she was the DNC’s preferred pick for 2020 and they have done everything they can to get their DEI-friendly pick into the Oval Office any which way they can.

She would make a senile, frail and failing Joe Biden look competent. The USA would not survive a President Harris.
