I personally agree, but it was the smart move IMO. I am as conservative as it gets, but I know a LOT of liberals (being from The Netherlands) and I think he was very likeable and reasonable to young, educated liberal women. A group that votes overwhelmingly Harris because the common sense was slapped out of them in school and college. I think he did great on that issue, even though I think abortion should be banned everywhere with a few exceptions. What I had hoped he would have said was that abortion these days is 98% 'convenience' by women who don't want to take birth control and can't keep their legs together. The other 2% is rape, incest and life of the mother which is already the exception Trump agrees on. Walz was only pulling heart strings and ignored that 98% is just convenience abortions (the 'no money', 'my career is more important', 'broke up with my baby daddy', 'I am just a hoe that is proud to have had 26 abortions' types). That is what I wished he had explained because I am sure most people do not realize that.

P.S. I do agree on this part. But overall, he tore Walz a new one in a very sophisticated manner. Exactly the things liberal women hate about Trump, they should love about Vance. At the very least he might have convinced the undecided, although I can't think of why on earth anyone could be undecided in this election. It's literally a choice between The United States and the Bolsheviks. It should be an easy choice, regardless of your opinion on Trump or his mean tweets.

If Kamala Has Such Great Plans, Why Hasn't She Implemented Them?

 

Minnesota Democrat Gov. Tim Walz spent an awful lot of time during Tuesday's vice presidential debate talking about what he and Kamala Harris would do on "day one" and beyond if Americans (and Big Tech oligarchs) elect them this November.

The problem?  As Sen. J.D. Vance, R-Ohio, pointed out, Kamala Harris' "day one" was nearly 1,400 days ago.  If Harris wants to help struggling Americans, why hasn't she?  She does hold the second-highest office in the land, after all.

That was awful for Tim Walz:  he flubbed his VP debate against JD Vance

 

"Mr Nice Guy", Tim Walz, showed up at the vice-presidential debate in New York and flubbed it.  Perhaps he was over-prepared.  Or underprepared.  Or just too darned "Minnesota nice", as they say in his home state.  Folks there have a reputation for being congenitally kind and polite.  Kamala Harris's running mate could have pummelled JD Vance for being a mean, small-minded, misogynistic flip-flopper whose sole guiding principle was to suck up to Donald Trump.  Instead, he came to praise rather than to bury his opponent.

 

Vance couldn't believe his luck.  The Republican vice-presidential nominee was only too pleased to play the game that he and the governor were commonsensical, bipartisan people.  Walz and Vance kept saying how much they "actually" agreed with each other on housing, jobs and support for families.  It was sweet, in a way, to see a Democrat and a Republican spar lightly with each other, harking back to a more gentle era B.T. – Before Trump.  But, "C'mon man, give me a break!" Joe Biden might have roared, if he were still awake.  There is too much at stake.  [...]
