This is how progressive tax brackets work.  Those that pay the most taxes will get the biggest breaks when taxes are cut.  How do you propose that is changed?  Even if you propose a tax cut for only the 3 or 4 lowest tax quintiles, the rich folks will still get a break as their income is not taxed in its entirety at the highest rate.  Then of course there are corporate taxes which Democrats love to tout, and which do nothing other than to raise prices and discourage business development.  Corporate taxes are like tariffs, raise them and prices go up.

 

It seems you are more in the camp that all money belongs to the government, and that the government can take from the rich and give to the poor (please correct me if I am wrong).  If that is the case, this never works as the money will still flow to the successful eventually.

tax cuts typically favor those who pay taxes, so of course they favor "the rich"

In 2022, 40.1% of households paid no individual income tax.  In 2021, The top 1 percent earned 26.3 percent of total AGI and paid 45.8 percent of all federal income taxes. Are the "rich" paying their fair share, and where should tax cuts be applied?
