Ignore the 10months as it’s moot. You’ll all get interviewed with 2-3 months. I promise you the app/online account is moot 😉

Hopefully,  wife has been studying for the test, and if it's a combo interview,  so be it. Be good to get everything done early next year.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Jumping on this thread:

I'm trying to complete my N400 online right now and it's working fine except for the section on "Your Prior Marriages." Every time I try to fill out this section it lets me get all the way to the last question ("What was your prior spouse's immigration status when your marriage ended?") but when I hit "Next" instead of saving my answers it goes back to the first page of the section ("What is your prior spouse's legal name?") and everything is blank.

The rest of the N400 has saved all of my answers just fine - I'm only waiting on this one section!

Do you think the form is just being buggy because it's almost Thanksgiving?

My wife’s lawyer says when online N-400 is giving you this kind of problem, you do what it takes to get through the application and then attach a statement stating  the  facts.  She had problems for a while with my wife’s N-400:

* it would not accept the fact that my wife’s parents were not U.S. citizens

* it would accept my wife’s ssn but insisted she didn’t have an ssn

* none of our evidence since I-751 was there despite uploading it.

* she had too many trips abroad

The first three problems went away eventually. The last problem was addressed by eliminating all trips she took before her “resident since date”

In your case, if the problem fails to resolve,  I would take screen shots that show the problem, and delete your previous marriage history.

Then I would prepare a PDF document explaining the problem, including  the screen shots, and then explaining you were married, and to whom, and when,  how it ended, etc.

Finally upload that PDF document as evidence.

The evidence is that online produces faster results, so it is worth working around these problems.

Oh wow that's a lot of problems with the form! Sounds like a reasonable way to account for the errors if the glitches don't resolve - thanks for the suggestion!

Ah-haa yes I'll give that a try - I tried clearing my cache/cookies for the particular site but it wouldn't hurt to be extra incognito.

I ended up trying different browsers and clearing my cache etc. to no avail. I eventually opted to do as @Mike E suggested and include an additional document/evidence showing my attempt to answer the questions, screen caps, and provide my answers there.

The form allowed me to file my application even without filling out "prior spouse history" info, and in looking at the PDF summary after filing I figured out what happened:

I selected my marital status as "Divorced" but the form auto-populated the answer to the next question ("How many times have you been married?") as "0". Because it says zero, it nulls out all of the marital history data - and there's no option to change the number of past marriages on the online application. Given this glitch hopefully the IO accepts and understands my explanation.

Two weeks later and this problem still persists as I'm having it now.

But! I managed to work around it. What I did is I said I'm currently married (which I'm not), which gave some extra options about current spouse and then also asked about prior marriages. I skipped the current marriage part and I was able to fill in prior marriage and save it. Then went back to marital status question and changed it to Divorced, which removed the current marriage section but left all the info I left about prior marriage.

My hair has gone grey today trying to make this thing work!

Wow that's such a creative approach, glad you made it work!

Funny thing, I-751 was just approved,  card in the mail as of December 1st. Looks like your right. N400 interview will be coming soon.
