Hi, I'm curious to see if all of you finally got your green cards? We also did a mistake saying that I'm already in the usa. Therefore we had to apply an I-824 on our aproved petition, that's been transfered to Pointiac service center.   This where in October 2023 and we haven't heard anything since then.

I just got sent to NVC. I still have to go through an embassy, so no. It is way to early for green card

I hope mine gets processed soon. my poor wife cries to sleep every night on the phone with me thinking she will never be able to come.

The USCIS made the mistake on not sending my approved I-130 to the NVS after I Did state on Page 8 that my wife would be going to a US Embassy. I ended up still having to file an I-824 and pay the $460 for THEIR MISTAKE!. my wifes I-130 got approved in Feb 2023 and I Submitted the I-824 and I was received by the USCIS in May 2023. It has been at the Potomac Service Center for over 10 months now and the latest update still says we received it. it should be renamed from Potomac processing center to Potomac graveyard. If the USCIS hadn't made THEIR MISTAKE and sent the Approved I-130 to the NVC it would have taken only up to 6 weeks to get to the NVC, its been over 10 months. my wife would have been here by now. this is so frustrating

Oh that's awful, bad enough to have a delay but it's terrible that is isn't even needed. So you left question 61 blank and filled in question 62? Definitely an error on USCIS's part then and you shouldn't be penalised for that.

Potomac is quicker than other service centres but is still 16 months or so unfortunately. I really hope somebody can help you get it pushed through sooner if it was USCIS's mistake. Is there any way of making a formal complaint maybe to try and get somebody to sit up and notice?

Best of luck to you.

UPDATE***

same thing just happened to me this morning. got an email from the NVC that they received my approved I-130 from USCIS even though the USCIS Still says my I-824 is still processing.

I-130 started - Feb, 2022

I-130 approved BUT NOT SENT TO NVC (USCIS ERROR) - Feb , 2023

I-824 received by USCIS May 4, 2023

I-130 received by NVC today April 25, 2024

I-824 status on USCIS website still says "we received your form on May 4th" doesn't even say processing or processed.

POTOMAC service center

I wish everyone that is still waiting the best of luck
