Parent's SSN

Timeline

My father stated that when he worked in the US many decades ago that he had a SSN cause he had to pay taxes.  He does not remember his SSN, how can I find out if he was issued a SSN if he returned to live overseas.

If your father still have some financial documents like bank accounts, etc., then he can get it from the bank statements, etc.

Otherwise, the father needs to go to a SS Office with passport, birth certificate, ids, etc. 

The SS phone number might work as well? 800–772–1213
