Utah Online Marriage, SF Consulate Rejected RoM.

Have an update on this ROM journey.

After getting our transmittal details from the consulate, I reached out to the office of consular affairs and they replied rather quickly and was able to inform me that my application was sent to the PSA on November 25, 2022. They instructed in the email that if you want to receive your PSA ROM soon after they have sent it to the PSA you have to go to the main branch in Quezon City. We are having a family member go to that office on Tuesday, so I will update the group if we are successful.

They did mention in the email that requesting documents from the PSA via online as the consulate recommends may take longer as the documents may not be in the database.

Update:

We finally received our PSA copy of the marriage certificate. Yesterday from the main PSA office in Quezon City. Once we got the transmittal information from the Department of Foreign Affairs and reached out to PSA we were told to wait 7 days and call or email for an update. When we reached out to the PSA by email after 7 days they responded by saying they would reply to my email in another 7 days. Finally they replied back finally after 5 days and told us that our document was finally ready for pickup.

Did you reach out to psaserbilis.com or PSA itself?  What email address did you send to and what was your message?  We're trying to get this sorted out as well.  Thanks!

First I called the consulate and they gave me the transmittal details and date that they sent the ROM to DFA. I took those details and emailed the Office of Consular Affairs at this email address oca.crd@dfa.gov.ph. They replied within two days with the details and date they sent the ROM to PSA. So we asked our niece to go to the main PSA office in Quezon City to request the copy and provided them the details from the Office of Consular Affairs. We were told to call or email within seven days to retrieve our documents. I sent emails to crs.qvu3@psa.gov.ph, crs.qvu2@psa.gov.ph and crs.qvu1@psa.gov.ph. They emailed within two days telling us we could pick up our PSA Marriage Certificate from the Quezon City Office.

Timeline:

August 26th, 2022 - San Francisco Consulate Registers ROM

September 9, 2022 - Consulate transmits the document to DFA

ROM Timeline

Approved by Consulate - 10/12/22

Sent to DFA - November Diplomatic Pouch and held pending court issues with online/proxy marriages

Transmitted to PSA - 01/06/23

Requested from PSA - 03/20/23

Received - 03/27/23

My wife went to the PSA in Maasin sometime in February to try and get a copy but even with all the DFA transmittal info was unable to. They took her phone # and called when it was ready to order and we ordered it online.

Next stop DFA appointment for new passport. Don't get me started on that process. LOL

We tried to get an appointment in Cebu and never could.  We ended up flying to Puerto Princessa and applied there.

Yeah don't get me started on the appointments for PSA and DFA. The PSA in Maasin is new so they had time to take walk ins. We are currently trying to get an appointment with the DFA in Tacloban which has been an issue. These "brokers" who buy up all the appointments to then sell them for a profit is stupid especially when the appointments are suppose to be non-transferable.

I was in Manila with my wife when we did the Utah wedding. The US could give two craps about the PSA MC. It isn't a requirement when going through your interview.

The only thing I'm worried about is when we get to the CFO and will they let her leave. Guess we will see when we get there, but I'm sure there will be people in this situation that will get there before me.

Hey Steve, how did that process go? We're also in the same boat and our I-130 has been approved and about to start the NVC stage. Do you have any linked to the process you underwent to clear the CFO?
