Hey my k1 visa case is currently in Santo Domingo embassy is listed as ready for interview for over 2 months now but I have not received instructions. Do you guys have an idea when I’ll receive the interview or if there is a backlog, I here i can schedule the appointment since it’s ready but I have not received instructions from the embassy to do so

Go ahead and pay your visa application fee, start looking for interview date before your 4 month validity expire on your approved petition and fill out the ds-160 then gather your documents and start preparing for your interview. Do not wait for any instructions to do all that coz if your approval expire before you book interview appointment then it cannot be extended. Do not wait.

Like I said, do not wait for any notice as long as it shows ready on the ceac page. Pay fees and secure interview date before your approval expire so that it can be extended when you go for interview at the embassy

Why will you have approval since June and nvc sent your case to your home country embassy and you don’t do nothing ? Not even come here to ask about next step ? Looks like you don’t really want it.

Approved cases always have validity of four months from the date it is approved, there’s backlog in most embassies so the case will be sent to the embassy before the four months validity expires, the logic is, make sure you pick an interview date before your approved case expire which is four months so as long as you have a date before your four months validity expire then you are good to go even if the date you get is outside the four month validity and that’s why you need to go ahead and pay your MRV and create cgi account to start looking for date as soon as they sent your case to the embassy and not wait for any instructions.

From the look of things from your case I will advise you to call the embassy as soon as possible and ask if they still have your case and what you can do at this point

Yes I have call and send emails numerous times I called today and asked if my case was received they confirmed it was and the my validity was extended, I’ve waited because the letter instructed me to wait for the embassy to contact me, ceac stated is ready and under also says to wait to be notified, when I tried paying fees asks if I have been notified so please understand this is very confusing last thing I want to do is make a mistake that’s why I am looking for all resources possible

Don’t wait to be notified just click yes and proceed so that you can’t get closer interview date as soon as available, you’re lucky your case is extended wish you the best

Santo Domingo is well known for having a large backlog for interviews.  If your approved petition expires before you can get an interview slot, the consulate can extend the validity.
