Increases in processing time for Waivers I601,I212 of 5-7 months 13 months ago when Uscis received waivers from my husband to 26 months changed on November 3.  Does anyone know the real reason?

I noticed that on the page for i601 processing times it has a note that says “We converted Form I-601 from our older cycle time methodology to our newer processing time methodology. So, you may notice a difference in processing times this month.”

does this mean that the 26 month wait time is just for “this month” or is this permanent. I think going from 12 mnths to 14 mnths to then 26 mnths is a bit extreme. Also does anyone know what the newer processing time methodology is ? Is it suppose to be better than the old ?

no idea! Did you ever find the answer? I have been trying to look everywhere and cant seem to figure out if its a truly timeline or not. I know every case is different but it went up to YEARS from month to month.
