Biometrics done today, appointment was at 2pm, in at 1:45 and out 10 minutes later, place was dead. Now the waiting begins...

I-485 and I-765 have updated to "Case is being actively reviewed by USCIS".

I had my biometrics appointment today. I managed to get in 6 days early! They were really quiet and kind about it to be honest... It was in Riverside (La Sierra Avenue).

But... I've received a I-485 Request for Evidence today too (RFE) - it's a request for the Form I-864 to be resubmitted. We didn't include W2's so maybe that was the issue.

I have question that I hope someone can help with... Will the I-485 RFE delay my EAD/I-765 card being sent to me?

I believe it will delay your EAD until they receive your RFE response. What time was your walk-in?

I've seen mixed responses from people on this, but nobody's 100% sure. I called the USCIS help-line too, and they said it wouldn't affect the I-765 as they're separate cases but they didn't seem too confident on the matter (lol)...

My appt was at 11:30am today, and the I-765 case status was changed to 'Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS' today!

Hey Nylar, has yours updated yet?

No change from yesterday, got 3 emails this morning saying they have taken action on my case (I assume those are delayed responses from yesterday). You?

Neither.

4 emails this morning. I assume they're my I-485 RFE notifications (now submitted, and I-485 case updated to Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received - which is a good sign)

Still early yet, keeping my fingers crossed.

I requested an expedite for my EAD despite no biometrics in the hopes it might trigger it. I do have a job offer waiting so I'm just anxiously waiting to hear back.

How did you make this request?
