Hello, My spouse recently got his IR1 visa from the embassy. Can I who is the petitioner and US Citizen spouse travel with my husband to the USA?

I've also read that the immigrant needs to have enough luggage that it's obvious they're moving. Is that true? Would one or two suitcases per family member be considered sufficient?

CBP can deny entry to would-be immigrants if CBP doesn’t believe they will live in the U.S. See: https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/779133-ir1-visa-denied-at-poe/

 

I have my doubts that failing to carry 3 suit cases per immigrant would trigger a denial of entry.  
 

As long the immigrants give CBP no reason to think they won’t live in the U.S., I don’t think you should worry about this.  
 

Spend more time in the U.S. than outside, don’t spend 181 or more consecutive days outside, and everything will be fine.

Hello, I just stumbled upon this thread.

I believe some airports I've seen have an "Immigration" queue - is it wrong to line up there?

 

So if I read it correctly, my wife (US citizen / sponsor) comes with me to the "visitor" line, correct?
