Who Should Attend the K-1 Fiancé Visa Interview. The K-1 beneficiary must attend the interview along with any K-2 children included on the same I-129F petition. The U.S. citizen sponsor is not required to attend the interview and generally may not attend.Mar 15, 2022

Can fiancé attend K-1 visa interview?

The American fiancé(e) is never asked to attend a K1 Visa interview. The K1 Visa interview generally takes around 10 to 30 minutes and the officers may ask 10 to 15 questions. During the interview, applicants should remain calm and answer truthfully.

SECURITY INFORMATION

Due to security procedures and space limitations, U.S. consular sections do not permit interested parties such as friends, relatives, attorneys, or business contacts to attend the visa interview with the applicant.  Only the applicant (and a guardian, if the applicant is unable to care for him- or herself) may attend a visa interview.
