1995-2000 I was in a band and I sing at a hotel in the Philippines. The hotel got bankrupt; and I was one who got laid off. The hotel’s name is change, changed management, my manager, supervisor was replaced. I’m concerned about it. It was a long time ago.

In G-325A form, it asks where I work, if I put my employment record there, people at the hotel might not know me, if ever USCIS or US Embassy check my background. I tried to visit the hotel in 2003, almost everyone who I worked with are no longer there. In 2001-2006, I was helping my cousin to run her catering business with her GF but they are no longer together and her business got bankrupt too, and my cousin is in UK working now. Now, I will be 6 months working for this cosmetic company, but I will stop working in August when my American fiancée is here in the Philippines. Is record of employment important here? I worked at a hotel for 5 years do I put it there?, I was thinking if US Embassy will call the hotel where I worked and none knows me because of what I said; change management, co workers no longer work there... The US Embassy in Manila or USCIS might think I'm lying. Do they really check employment records of the beneficiary? Please advice me. Thanks a lot!

I would list the name of the Employer as it was when you were employed there. Don't worry about them verifying your employment.

asianbeauty,

G-325A ask for employment for the past 5 years. It's now 2007.

That aside, they are not going to check on the employment history listed on the G-325A unless, perhaps, you show something clearly dicey such as 'streetwalker in Angeles' or 'personal assistant to Osama bin Laden'.

Yep, wouldn't worry about it. You are the beneficiary of a I129F, they won't care about your employment history. Just list the employer as it was when you were there.

Tada! after months of lurking on this site, I've finally registered. We are currently starting to complete the I-129F paperwork, and k has only worked for his current employer for about 6 months, he is concerned that his employer will be contacted. He would like to keep his job until everything is approved. I understand his concern about not wanting to lose his job. Is this true? No one will check with his current employer? Thanks for any info on this matter! I would like to get the package out asap, but don't want it to affect his employment! Thanks again! ~j
