Hi everyone,

I see some people that filed late june had their I-130 approved. I filed June 15th at Nebraska and still waiting on an approval. Anyone in the same boat? This is becoming very exhausting for me and my mom.

I am waiting too and filed at june 27 for my mom. Its long and exhausting process.

Applied for both parents. Both dated 6/23/2022.

One parent got approved 5/13/2023, the other one is still processing.

Should I wait for both to be completed to do next steps, or continue each path separately?

@Mill&Bill - I haven't received anything yet.

I just checked the status for my parents on USCIS.gov and One parent shows estimated processing time of 2 months (YAY!!) and the other 5 months. I really do hope that when the process one, they pick up the other because they were sent the same time. Not sure why the difference in processing if they are both in the same processing center.

Updates? Did they both continue processing at different times? have you heard anything?

Hey everyone,

I applied the I-130 online for my mom who is currently living in Vietnam on June 28, 2022. The case process timeline is 1 week. My mom is recently diagnosed with colon cancer, so I want to bring her here as soon as possible to receive medical treatment. Is there a way I can expedite this process? I don't mind spending more money as long as it gets done quickly.

Thanks.

Im not sure, I would wait if it happened to me so they could hit the consulate at the same time. Maybe read some of the experiences of people for your specific consulate to see if any had the same experience or maybe start a new forum with that specific scenario and ask what they have done.

I feel like there could be a way to request a special expedited request but I'm not entirely sure. I would recommend doing a google search and see if that exists and if so and if there is a form number, then I'm sure there is a forum for that on here or you can start one for suggestions.

I finished filling up all the application and submitted the civil documents for my mom. I have to upload/submit my Marriage Certificate since I have to put my husband's name as household member for my financial support. I'm worried if they will look for my Marriage Certificate when my mom has her interview? since all the original copy of civil documents that submitted have to be with her on time of interview. Do I have to send her the original copy then?

I'm not entirely sure. I think I read that it can be a copy of an original. So maybe scan it and send it to her OR to always be safe, you can send her an official original copy.

So, June 13 I have done submitting all the documents and filled I-864A and I-864EZ. I'm still hoping the original copy of my marriage certificate won't be needed since I have only 1 copy with me, and I can't afford if it gets lost its way if I have to send it to my mom.

June 30, I checked the CEAC account, and my mom application was accepted also all the civil document we submitted, but my I-864EZ need to be re-submitted due to missing pages and they requested my dad death certificate.

How is everyone application process so far?

Glad to hear it’s processing along for you. Hoping for a quick DQ and IL for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

I also had all the docs submitted on 6/27/23 and still waiting for the DQ.

I dont want to scare you, but I do read it as that your mom will have to have your original (or cerifified copy- issued by the same agency) birth certificate and your marriage certificate. My attorney also confirmed that. Can you mail it to her?

I am waiting for the IL and planning on meeting my mother at that embassy so I can give her my original copies.

Please keep us posted and hope everything goes smoothly.
