What should I do now? A new photo? Or game over?

Since I was too dumb to upload my photos here I guess that I now have to redo everything just to make sure my applyment does not count as a duplicate one if someone have already messed around with my photos or applied with them.

 

The question I have tho is: If I take new photo, will the system still be triggered to think its a duplicate applyment because 2 photos look the same? Or will I be fine if change clothes and maybe let my hair grow for 4 days more and shave my beard or so?

 

Hope someone can help me out with this!

Facial recognition software is not fooled by beards or clothes. The chances of someone having used it are small, it wasn’t up long. Don’t overthink every tiny detail of the photo like you did last time, just follow the photo instructions on the website.

Yes you are right, it does not get tricked out just becaues I would make small changes.

Lol even your iPhone facial recognition software would not get confused by that. It looks at things that you don’t change without plastic surgery anyway, like measurements of and space between eyes, angles of bones, shape of ears, shape of lips etc. maybe a bushy full face beard would block some of that but not enough.

Why in the world would someone try to use your photos to apply for the DV?  Anyone who wants a visa is going to use their own photos.  If not, there are PLENTY of better options for fraudsters across this thing called the World Wide Web.....

Not fraudsters.  There are people who sit out there with nothing better to do than cause trouble for other people. Your e spent enough time on the internet to know that,  surely.

But do they really use this? I mean because adult people don't really change that much in the face. Last time I applied was in 2018 for 2020 entrance. There are alot of folks that really look the same as well.

Anyway, I don't really bother with allthe photo mess.

 

Too bad they removed the passport thing. A Passport number would be the only thing to avoid using another ones pictures, if they saved one's last applyments.

 

I will just apply and hope for the best, will wait until the 7th. maybe the site will get overloaded or something and they will tell "everyone that did apply after 31 Oct need to redo their applyments because of database error". This happened in last years DV Lottery, or was it 19/20?

Yeah right. I seriously hope no one did that, I think my thread got around 30 views or something. That is pretty much I Would say, @SusieQQQ reminded those that do have those intentions to do it tho by stating it, nah just kidding 😅
