Here you go, instructions enclosed. Alternatively, you can create an account on MyUSCIS and start an I-130 application online - no fees to pay until you are ready to submit it. At the end of it you will see what documents you need to upload.

Hello Eeveryone,

I am about to file I-130 for bringing my mother to the US. I will put together the entire steps of the process and please anyone who has already done this or knows how to do it confirm this is correct:

1) File I-130 with USCIS and include

**mother's Birth certificate

**Mother's divorce certificate

**Mother's copy of passport

**Petitioner's birth certificate

**Petitioner's passport and Cert.of Naturalization

**Petitioner's marriage certificate ( I have not changed my name)

2) After I-130 is approved USCIS will transfer case to NVC

What happens once approved case is received by NVC?

Do they first contact you to notify you to pay fees?

and after you pay the fees that's when they require to send them supporting documents?

Do I mail them supporting documents?

Please if anyone who has done this let me know what happens after the case is received by NVC?

Thank you so much for your time and wish everyone good luck

You did good here. Hope you file soon, fees are supposed to go up by March. Make sure you answer the question about which Embassy your mom's case will be processed for immigrant visa.

2) After I-130 is approved USCIS will transfer case to NVC

What happens once approved case is received by NVC?

They will email you and your beneficiary a Welcome Letter. That will contain your mom's case number and invoice number, which you will use to create an account on CEAC. That is where all the action happens: you pay the fees and then you will be given access to two sections: one for the Affidavit of Support and the other for the Immigrant Visa.

All forms and supporting documents are submitted online only.

Hello everyone

I started filling out I-130 online, to bring my mother to the US

I have few questions regarding filing the form online.

1) Since I am a citizen and have no longer green card, i believe I do not need to fill out A #

Correct?

2) I do not have USCIS online account number and I am going to skip this part.

I believe that is ok?

3) When I get to "For whom are you filing this Petition" it is giving me option "Parent" and not "mother" or "father".

I hope I am filing the correct form?

4) Should I write in "Beneficiary's Travel document number" passport number?

5) when I get to the part where I need to upload documents, I see "Petitioner's Birth certificate" upload option twice.

6) I see option where it says to upload "parent's Marriage Certificate", should I upload their Devorce Certificate here since they are divorced?

7) Also I do not see where to upload my marriage certificate as theer is no option "Upload your Marriage certificate

Thank you so much everyone, I do really appreciate your time and help

It’s not the same, you can put N/A. Avoid leaving blank fields

I will , Thank you :)

Do you happen to know if I need affidavits from my relatives regarding mother-child relationships?

Did you provide those affidavits?

I am not sure if they can be in English with just signature or in my native language and translated/notarized

Thank you
