Just a few more days until I fly to Manila. The place is almost ready. New carpets on Monday. 20 years of closets and drawers clean out and ready for her to move in. Candles. Step-stool for the kitchen. I planted some geraniums in the back yard. New bedspread (pink!) from Simply Shabby Chic at Target. I'm almost good to go.

No questions. I'm just happy.

Right after I decided to apply for 129f I gutted my place to the drywalls and cement foundation. Rebuilt it up from that point. Everything is brand new. It looks so nice.

Im not buying anything pink though. I still have my deer head on the wall and my rifle rack in the closet. :)

A man has to have some self respect. :)

Plant a Malunggay tree and find out where you can buy bagoong if you want to make her happy when she gets there!

Also a place you can buy tilapia and bangus!

Have a good trip. Nice move you are going to pick her up!

Happy for you Rick and Mharis! I wish you all the best in this world! I am now here with my David almost 3 weeks ago and our wedding is set for tomorrow. I am so excited! I hope to meet you two someday, somehow

Thanks everyone. And to everyone still waiting, the day will come soon. Epiphany, I'm going to "man up" in the study. The sheets are a pale pink so I don't mind. Mae, congratulations, enjoy the day, and we want pics!! Mharis and I are so happy for you. I'm sure somehow, someday our paths will cross. Beckpua, thanks for the tips. We have a SuperSeafood right around here and are getting the Philippine channels on cable and I'll check on the tree. I'm going back to work on my list now of things to do, which keeps getting longer instead of shorter!

That's so sweet of you!!! I know how excited you are to meet her again.... Have a safe trip !!! And Good Luck!!!! Don't forget the "rice" for her... Someone mentioned the bagoong? Well, the Barrio Fiesta brands have bagoong in cans if she likes that. Make sure you will also have fresh flowers for her when she gets there...

Just a few items left to get. Luz, I went with with Georgio Armani Gio. There will be a big engagement celebration with family and friends August 4. Later that day we'll get on the plane and fly to Los Angeles. The wedding will take place August 6 with around 30 guests. Mharis isn't a big rice eater, go figure, but I have a rice cooker just in case. The nicest thing is that I won't have to go back to work for three weeks once she gets here. That gives us lots of time for me to help her adjust.

Thanks for all the good thoughts and suggestions.
