Matt Hancock was kicked out of the parliamentary Tory party today after sensationally revealing he has agreed to star on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! for an estimated fee of around £350,000. 

The former Health Secretary, who quit after breaking his own lockdown rules by having an affair with long-time aide Gina Coladangelo, will become the 12th celebrity heading to the Australian jungle.

The news drew a rapid rebuke from Number 10, with Rishi Sunak's spokesman saying the Prime Minister believes MPs should be 'working hard for their constituents' at a 'challenging time for the country'. Mr Sunak is 'unlikely' to watch Mr Hancock in action, the spokesman added.   

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I vaguely recall sitting down with the in-laws and watching this hellscape of a show. Did the Tories freak out when Nadine was on it eating an ostrich butt?

Nadine is some Tory MP. Kind of wackadoo like the guy with the bad orange wig. Always on TV making statements that imply she's done a little too much cocaine in the morning and always seemed to be running around Boris' heels so much I once asked if she were a secret mistress or something.

 

Is this man for real? Matt Hancock is like a walking Alan Partridge joke.
