Don't expect any change.  Just follow the instructions and attend the interview.

Yes, Ready.  Near interview date, the "Case Last Updated" can refresh - indication they review your documents prior to interview.  In US Embassy Manila, we upload refreshed docs (if needed) before the interview (at least a week), to avoid getting 221G.

In September, we received our interview letter from NVC for November. However,  I was under the impression that the case status should say "transit" and not "ready" especially this close to our interview date. Is it suppose to say ready? If not, when should it be expected to change? imageproxy.php?img=&key=da9b9b78549feebe

For CR-1, there is nothing to "transfer".  The files on CEAC will be accessed by the embassy CO.

For a K-1, there is a "transfer" stage when the NVC sends the I-129F petition in a diplomatic package to the embassy.

The above is not an interview letter it says "your case is ready for your interview WHEN SCHEDULED AT US CONSULAR (meaning NVC has accepted and dq your supporting documents)  the WHEN  being the important word in your notice

you are now in queue (long line) for the Lagos to say they are ready for the interview

The actual  interview letter will give u date of the interview as arranged thru the embassy and NVC acting together

it will tell you what documents are needed / embassy will want the originals of all supporting documents sent to NVC

u may well have an interview after April 15 , 2023 (as it was just dq'd in September 2022)  so be prepared to do your 2022 tax returns  ASAP to be ready for all to happen / they (along with a new i 864 will be needed if interview is past the 2022 tax deadline

OP has an interview date for November. They only went to CEAC out of curiosity to see what it says and were wondering if ready is the appropriate status for this point in time.

Yes I can help you. Due to backlog, the wait time from dq to interview was 15 months. The last batch of interview letters were sent in September for everyone who was dq'ed in July 2021. They didn't send out any interview letters for spousal visas in October which now makes the wait time longer. If they send out letters at the end of this month, depending on how many they send out, you might hear something by April/May. It may be shorter and it may be longer

Yes they started giving dates but it stopped in September. I think it's because they rescheduled interviews for October people to December. This could mean they will send out interviews letters this month for January interviews

Hi, Is this the same for IR5 (parent of a US citizen)? I just got dq'd in September of this year. Do I also have to wait that long? Also, is there a website where the wait times are posted?
