Are documents no longer mailed to the NVC???

My I130 recently got approved and I haven't heard from the NVC yet, so I'm very new to the process. But all these years I thought we had to mail original documents to the NVC. Is that no longer the case?? Do we now just have to electronically upload everything?

If so, that is such a relief!

Can someone kindly answer some questions for me?

1 - Are the fees paid by the beneficiary or petitioner?

2 - Are the NVC documents (civil documents, DS260, etc) submitted to NVC by beneficiary or petitioner?

Thank you!

The link above will help you understand the NVC processing. Read, read and read again   .. it can feel overwhelming but if you take time to study this,  you will be well eqipped for the process.

Most family-based visa cases must upload required documents to NVC's CEAC portal.  Employment-based cases still submit documents to NVC by paper mail.

Both petitioner and beneficiary may pay the fees and submit documents to NVC.  Doesn't matter which of the two does so.
