Just wondering if anyone has recently changed their originally designated consulate to London recently for CR-1/IR-1 processing?

I'm a British citizen, but currently reside in Australia. The projected DQ to interview timeframe at the Sydney Consulate is 8-10 months, so if there's an opportunity to shorten this timeframe I'd be interested in reducing it.

I believe that as a British citizen, you can request to do your interview in London.

Is your case already doc qualified, and if so, is it still at the NVC?

It's doc qualified and still with NVC, just trying to find out if someone has any success or experience doing the same recently.

I would send an email to the IV section at LND, and copy the NVC on the email, explaining that you are a British citizen seeking to transfer your case to London.  Best luck and let us know how you go.

I would contact the NVC because they hold your file. The embassy really knows nothing about you yet. The NVC can honor your request to switch your designated embassy and schedule your interview for London. Do you have a reliable address in the UK where you can live for a month or so? Do you have a good “story” to tell why you have to get back to live in the UK besides Sydney Is too slow?

Do you need to re-submit DS260 and documents to NVC, if one transter an already DQ case to another consulate?
