Are these all the right documents for me to travel to the UK?

I am a UK citizen with a conditional green card (from K1).

I need to fly to the UK this week, and these are the documents I have:

- Passport with less than 6 months remaining (expires Feb 23)

- Passport is in maiden name

- Marriage certificate

- Conditional green card under married name (i.e. my last name is different).

Do you think the passport <6m and being in my maiden name will be an issue at all? On the way to the UK or returning to the US?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @US2UK you unlikely going to have issue entering the UK, but you may have issues travelling back to the US with passport that has less than 6 months left on it.

You probably would to renew your passport while in the UK, updating your last name to married name.

To add to the message above: US does not need your passport to enter the country. All you need is your unexpired Green Card.

But, the airline may not let you on the plane on your way back to the US with passport expiring soon. The six months passport validity rule should not apply to LPRs, but in real world the airline staff may not know it.

If you're visiting the UK for a bit longer, you may renew it while there.
