Trying to obtain medical records in Dominican Republic

Hi all,

We got our NOA2 this past week and now trying to get everything in order so we do not have to rush later. My fiancé doesn’t have a copy of his medical records and my soon to be mother in law has confirmed that he was vaccinated as a child, but she cannot locate his records. She doesn’t remember what hospital he was born at and also doesn’t know where to look! He doesn’t have a specific doctor that he goes to see either so I don’t even know where to begin. Anybody on here who can point me in the right direction?

You don't necessarily need them.  At the immigration medical exam, they can determine which vaccines he needs by drawing titers, etc.

Okay, understood. I was also hoping to get whatever vaccines he doesn’t have done prior to his medical exam since they seem to price gouge on the vaccinations at the exam. But we will take our chances and just get him whatever vaccines he doesn’t have done there. Thank you for your help!

Also he can go to a public hospital and get whatever vaccine he needs for free and they give him a card and he take the card to the medical exam.

Most official medical offices, approved by the consulate/embassy to do medical exams, have vaccination clinics close by that cost less.  When my husband did his medical exam in Rio, they told him he needed a couple of additional vaccinations, and there were multiple clinics in the same building catering to the large number of applicants who needed them.  The clinics were much cheaper than the official doctor, so my husband and I walked to one, he had the necessary vaccinations done, and took the record back to the doctor's office an hour later to complete the exam.  Check out the DR regional forum.

In DR, there are 2 clinics that are credentialed to actually do the exam. Go to either one of them, one will do vaccines that you don't yet have and the other will put every vaccine no matter what. You will need $600 CASH (30,000DOP) and they'll give you everything you need there. Make sure to go about 3 weeks before your appointment. Many people have delayed processing because their results don't get there before their interview date. Best of luck!

My husband went here: https://serviciosmedicosconsulares.com/ and we had a great experience. All worked out. This is the one that does the vaccines no matter what, we didn't want to risk the other one.
