Hi folks !

I’m the beneficiary for my Fiancé and I K1 visa, as most of you guys we ave been through a VERY VERY VERY VERY slow process for our I-129 to get approved (September 6th 2022). We got our NOA2 and we are still waiting for our NVC welcome letter its been 45 days!

My FIRST QUESTION  is do we get this it by mail or email ?

We could see that the US Embassy in Paris France (I’m French) is experiencing massive backlog according the their timeframe, so we anticipated and knowing that my Fiancée has a dual citizenship USA/Swiss we contacted the USA Embassy in Bern (interviews timeframe are 6days according their website) and they got back to us quickly and said that they are willing to take care of our case!!!

SECOND QUESTION how the f….. are we supposed to let NVC Know that we want our case send elsewhere knowing that the only way to reach them is they email inquiry that has a 2 months processing time??? Do you guys know if Is that any way we could ask them to change the Embassy directly once we receive our welcome letter and NVC Number through some kind of online platform?  6177BEEF-D4AB-4B01-A30C-B85297383ABC.thumb.jpeg.d2eae16722d7c7aec3184053c0f562b7.jpeg

Thanks guys

1.  Mail

2.  You email NVC and t would email both consulates.  Of course, you need your DOS case number from NVC.

Send the email confirmation you received from BERN to NVC. I would suggest using the NVCExpedite email instead of the public inquiry because you will hear back faster usually a day or two.

I sent the the same embassy transfer email to both  the public inquiry and the NVCExpedite and received a response back from the public inquiry about a week after my fiancé arrived in the states.

I did send the change of embassy to the NVc expedite email, but they told me to use the Public inquiry. Will they still work on it? Or what message did you get from them when you sent yours?

It did not work for me back in my K1 days. They won’t work on it, you’re gonna have to send a public inquiry form.
