HI

As you can see from my signature, I got some amazing news the other day. I now need to cancel the I-130 and I-129F petitions I have at the NVC (well, I guess one is in Vermont). Does anyone know how? I have tried calling the NVC, but the lines have been so busy I haven't been able to get thru to a person yet. Didn't know if there was a form (I'll just bet there is!) or a fee (probably one of them too!) or whatever. I want to get rid of the petitions as soon as possible to free up some spots for the rest of you!!

Thanks! :star:

I suppose you may have to wait until it reaches the consulate, and tell them at that point to cancel the petition. You could probably just let it be without any issues as wont be needing to apply for a visa to the US again.

Good luck

That's great news. I think I would wait until I had the passport in my hand before I cancelled anything though. :)

I think, you want to cancel your I-129F, right? You can write to the Service Center where your I-129F is now and mention that you want to cancel I-129F, as your I-130 is cruising well.

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy
