iceyspots called me and told me your fiance's interview was today. I am anxiously waiting to hear your news. Inshaallah, it will be approved. I have been in Algeria for 3 weeks. I cant believe I have only 1 week left. I am praying for you guys.

Hey, all! Well, it looks like the visa was approved!

The looked through all of Amed's paperwork, made him wait a while, called him back in to correct a typo, made him sign the documents and then made him hold his hand up and attest to the accuracy of the documents. Then they made him write his name in Arabic and took his file and thoroughly looked at all of the supporting evidence. They took his fingerprints, made him pay the visa fee, took his passport and gave him the address of the ECF (like a DHL) where they said he could pick it back up in about a week. He asked "so the visa is ok?" and they said "it's ok." He said they didn't ask him one question.

I feel very fortunate, but I guess time will tell if he really does get the visa in a week. Thank you everyone for all of your support. I will be in touch with more news as it happens.

GOod luck to all of you still waiting approval! I know it's exhausting, but hang in there!

Wow I just looked at your timeline. If you got your visa that fast I'm impressed with that counsulate! We had to wait 8 months from start to finish, and I know a lot in Morocco wait even longer. But I'm not trying to rain on your parade - congratulations!!

May 11 '09 - Case Approved 10 yr card in the mail

June - 10 yr card recieved

Feb. 19, 2010 - N-400 Application sent to Phoenix Lockbox

April 3, 2010 - Biometrics

May 17,2010 - Citizenship Test - Minneapolis, MN

July 16, 2010- Retest (writing portion)

October 13, 2010 - Oath Ceremony

Journey Complete!
