So these supposedly "educated" and certainly privileged eco-warriors are hurting everyday people for a utopian view?  Maybe it is time to bring back public caning, and make sure these people are making restitution for their actions.

Skylar was among the Animal Rebellion protestors pouring milk in Harrods. They stood at the front of a meat counter and emptied glass bottles of milk onto the floor, before being escorted out. They later told the Daily Mail: “Supporters of Animal Rebellion are back acting because Liz Truss and Ranil Jayawardena (Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs) are again deciding to ignore calls to start building a better future.”

 

The activist is actually a Uni of Sussex grad, having finished their BA in International Development with a first in 2020. Before this, they actually *founded* the Sussex branch of Extinction Rebellion, volunteered for Greenpeace, and worked in Outreach for The Humane League.

These are the same people that tossed soup on the $72 million Van Gogh (having seen this painting myself and seeing them do this made me so angry!) before gluing themselves to the walls.

Heard the speech given by one of those wacko's and it made no sense.  They are all for getting rid of petroleum, yet, they ranted about the huge cost people will be incurring to heat their homes.  I guess these folks have not really been educated.

It is nonsense stuff, but I suppose some of the rant was about the fact that the UK will be going through rough times this winter. Daily blackouts have been proposed, in addition to the rising cost of inflation and food prices, and collapse of the pound. There was due to be a massive spike in taxes and costs associated with electric/gas this winter (quite reminds me of a thread I meant to post) and there is threat of economic collapse.

 

Thankfully, this painting was protected with glass which tells me they aren't so serious about going to jail for a shocking crime in protest. They'll 'protest' but only so far. They are pretty lame at it anyway.

Have you seen the Dartford Bridge, now there is the Tunnel as well  so not a complete closure, I have a very vague recollection of a ferry but that was a long time ago.

 

The UK has issues but they have been decades in the making, let us not forget what is happening in France, collapse of the Euro etc etc, so not out there on their own.

If they think it is bad now, what do they expect in their utopian view of no petroleum production.  Almost all plastics go away, electricity rationing unless they get over their fear of nuclear or their protests of hydro.  Like I said, their screed made no sense.

I saw this video too. Disgusting ppl. Funny thing is they have no issues using petroleum products like the glue they used to stick to the wall.
