Is it true that if you submit additional documents online, your case gets delayed? Is better to wait for them to request it or just upload them now?

the divorce decree I submitted was a copy emailed by the court, now I received the original copy, should I upload it? I just wait for a RFE

Does the image you already uploaded, say on it's face that it's a certified copy.  I expect it looks exactly like the one you received in the mail.  If it does, then do nothing.

They are different, the one I got recently it’s a certified copy, the one I submitted was emailed to me due to COVID, but they looked totally different and now I’m freaking out

Well the second one is what they will be expecting but perhaps there's something in the email explaining why they sent something else.

Just FYI, the first one is the actual divorce decree from the clerk of court, the second is the divorce certificate from Florida Bureau of Vital Statistics. In my case, we uploaded both.

Thank you!! I was scared thinking they would not accept the first one! I uploaded the second one just in case. Thank you!! 🙏🏻

I have the first one and never received the second one (I got divorced in FL in the 90's).

I sent the first one and had no issues.

Is this for the I-130 to USCIS or for the NVC?  I filed the I-130 by paper but did not have to upload it to the NVC as the petitioner.

I also never received the second one. I uploaded the first one to NVC and they said I was documentary qualified so hopefully the embassy won't have a issue with my documents.

Is for the I130, I read in a forum that they sent a RFE for an “original” and I realized I didn’t have one, so I requested it and they sent the second one.

Great!! I’m just trying to have everything ready before getting into the NVC stage.  Thanks
