I see that VJ has a timeline section for form I-131 (AP) which is has locations down as local field offices rather than the national benefits center. As I understand it, the National Benefits Center is processing the I-131 right now, and not the local field offices? Can someone correct me on this or inform me more as to how this works? I'm going to be filing my application for AP in early November and hoping to have it by August, but judging by the USCIS website 80% are done within 11.5 months. So seems unlikely that I'll have it in time, right? Too big a risk to plan a trip in August? Anyone get their AP recently, when did you first apply? Thanks guys

I-765s and I-131s are processed at NBC, while the I-485s are processed at local offices.  I have heard of a few EADs being approved in 3 months lately.  I'm not sure about AP documents.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

That makes sense, thanks for you response. Any idea if the EAD and AP are generally assessed and returned together?

For some they are and for some they are not (ours was not)

Some people got their EAD approved the day after the Biometrics with AP together. Some are still waiting after a year.

Your question regarding applying in November and planning to take a trip in August. Well , simply put NO don't spend any money on a chance. Just wait and hopefully you will be the lucky one or book a fully refundable trip.
