Because your removal is related to your denied asylum filing, I would recommend using that as your “ put foot in the door “ approach with the nonprofits …( not for sympathy just cause they usually limit types of cases they take)

Hold back the “ here’s case and here’s my relief and what I want done” until you get a dialogue going..lol

But kudos to a fabulous case presentation on YouTube.

LOL u watched it too

noted for the input. thank you

I am sure you follow The Courageous and Talented @Demise who recently drafted and filed a pro se motion w court AND got a hearing scheduled date within approximately a month .

I point it out only because she too had reached out to ICE/OPLA and heard crickets for months.

Hacking has not done hands on removal for a while, though his advice was relevant about 10 years ago. ..

So just stay on course and interview at least 3 different attorneys…After presenting your facts , ask what their strategy Next Step would be ..then ask what they think of filing termination now

just wanted to give 3 months update, after reaching out to almost 30 non profit organizations both in MA and ME, they all said no we cant help you. MA wont help me because my residence is in Maine even though my case is is Boston, and ME non profit organization wont help me either because they cant "handle" difficult case like removal proceeding.

i called almost 70 lawyers in Boston and 10 lawyers in ME for one month straight. all lawyer in ME said, no we cant help u because i dont think they want to handle " difficult " case. got my 3 top picks lawyer from MA and ready to go, but another lawyer ( not the top 3, she cant take my case because she super busy with her exisiting case ) from MA told me to try to talk to my current lawyer 1 more time and see if he's willing to file motion to terminate directly to the court. took me 6 weeks straight to keep emailing my NYC lawyer ( once a week), i didnt get any response, zero. on week 7 he finally gave in, called me and he said he will file the motion by New year and very defensive about the whole thing. i dont want to have argument with him and just hold what he said about when hes gonna file.

he did file before christmas, but noone from his office reach out to me and i only found out when i emailed them after new year. SMH. last week when i checked the EIOR website, it said my removal proceeding has been terminated. still waiting for the termination letter, hopefully my lawyer will send me the copy this week. im no longer in deportation, and one last step will hopefully just to reopen my i-485 thats admin closed with USCIS.

P.S. i know almost all Boston and MA lawyers by now, if anyone need input/opinion, u can reach out to me 😃

PPS. i can even wrote my own Motion to terminate ( even though my lawyer wont use it,dont know why) to the court.

Thank you for the update, that is a real obstacle course (sometimes the obstacle being your own lawyer it seems!).  Best of luck in the rest of your journey!
